Inside the Data Room of the “Elle Decor at Work” exhibition, Level is displaying their Smart Office products
From the 8th to 18th of April, during Milan’s Design Week, the Elle Decor at Work exhibition is showing the evolution of contemporary workspaces.
Inside Palazzo Bovara, the Data Room is presenting an environment in which technology and design merges to create Sensory Design, a concept centered around the improvement of workers wellbeing and various methods of achieving such a goal by using data collected from sensors.
“In years previous, the attention to workers wellbeing has increased both at home and inside the office. Company Welfare has developed to merge the private and professional lives of individuals in a healthy and productive way. It’s a challenge of engagement.” stated Massimo Gianquitto. “Human-centered spaces, enhance the physical and acoustic comfort by integrating greenery and natural lighting with technology and sensors.”
With these aspects in mind the Sensory Design project was born, developed in collaboration with Cosentino Group and Icomfort, and presented for the first time during the Fuorisalone.
Smart Wall and Techdesk are the two smart furniture’s Level has on display, chosen to represent the idea of a Healthy Office they were installed in such a manner to allow visitors to interact with them and discover more about the new possible workplace solutions. For Elle Décor’s exhibition, they were additionally completed with a special dashboard live streaming the environmental parameters of the room.
Smart Wall, the Interactive Partition Developed by Level
Smart Wall, the main product of the Smart Office furniture series, is a glass wall with an integrated touch screen monitor and CPU. It has many uses such as showing presentations during meetings and training sessions as well as conference calling and telework. This is all thanks to various inbuild speakers and sensors as well as a camera and microphone.
Smart Wall allows people to share information and data with the swipe of their hand (an image can be transferred from a device to the smart wall simply with a physical gesture, without any physical connections or wires). Furthermore, the multidevice connection allows Smart Wall to joint up to 25 devices (smartphones, laptops, PC’s and tablets) at the same time. Voice commands are another way to manage all the technological components simply using the voice to change slides or windows.
Techdesk, a Smart Desk from Level
Techdesk is a futuristic system known for its linear geometry and simplistic design, hiding its inner workings with a modern sleek design. Its glass surface is manufactured to support a touch screen display – transforming the desk into a smart device.
Customized software allows Techdesk to be used as a traditional pc, while also including various additions such as a mirroring system and multidevice connection. The desk is also able to interact with the Smart Wall and other devices around the office, thanks to sensors that collect environmental data and monitor if workspaces are in use throughout the day.
